BANK OF ENGLAND
INCREASED GOLD HOLDING. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.50 p.m.) London, April 4. The Financial News says the Bank of England’s gold holding of £175,031,000 is the highest on record following the purchase of £1,342,404 the bulk of which is apparently Australian. Four millions arrived on Friday and a further £2.000,000 is coming.
