COLAC BAY NOTES

Miss K. Leader, Riverton, was the guest of Mr and Mrs E. Shore last week-end.
Miss M. Patterson, Invercargill, is spending a holiday with her parents, Mr and Mrs A. Patterson.
Miss A. Quested, Lyttelton, is the guest of Miss H. Harrison, Colac. Miss H. Belsham is spending a holiday at Tuatapere with friends. Miss C. Dawson has returned home from a short holiday at Waihoaka.
Mr and Mrs McLeod (Gore) are spending a holiday at their crib at Colac.
Miss Marshal, Orawia, is staying with Mrs McNaughton, Colac. Mrs R. Arnott, Riverton, who has been spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs H. Cross, returned to Riverton last Wednesday. Mr and Mrs Whittock, Gore, are visiting Colac. The Colac School Committee’s dance, which was held in the Drill Hall on Friday, was largely attended, people coming from all over the district. Music was supplied by the Colac Melody Wreckers, and extras were played by Mrs Valentine. Mr D. Wadsworth carried out the duties of M.C. The iced cake was won by Mrs Sullivan.
