ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
LEVEL CROSSING VICTIM. (Per United Press Association.) Gisborne, December 22. The second death as the result of the level crossing smash at Waihirere on October 21 occurred this morning when Mrs Elsie Mary Earnshaw, aged 38, who had been in hospital, since the accident, succumbed to her injuries. DEATH WHILE HAYMAKING. Marton, December 22. While haymaking on his farm early this morning, Robert McDonald, aged 62, married, collapsed and expired before the arrival of medical aid.
