LARGE BUTTER INCREASE. NEW ZEALAND SENDS MORE. An increase of 3909 tons in the imports of butter into Great Britain last month as compared with November, 1931, is shown in the returns of the Dairy Produce Board, The imports in November during the past three years, with the countries of origin, are shown in the following table:—

Totals ■ 33,744 29.835 23,066 A total of 15,482 tons of butter was shipped from New Zealand to the United Kingdom during November, compared with 14,129 tons in November, 1931, an increase of 1353 tons. The total shipments from August 1, 1932, to November 30 were 41,138 tons, as against 31,722 tons in the corresponding period last year, an increase of 9416 tons. Of the butter shipped in November 96 per cent, was consigned and the remainder sold f.0.b., compared with 92 per cent, consigned and 8 per cent, sold f.o.b. in November, 1931. Last month Australia shipped 14,500 tons of butter, compared with 9760 tons in November, 1931, and 35,944 tons in the period August 1 to November 30, the corresponding shipments last year totalling 26,725 tons. Stocks In London. The amount of butter re-exported from the United Kingdom during November was as follows, the figures for November, 1931, being given in parentheses:—To Germany, 267 tons (211 tons); Belgium, 87 (520); Irish Free State, 5 (6); United States, — (2); Netherlands, 14 (218); France, 41 (221); Canada, 54 (—); other countries, 159 (128). Totals, 627 tons (1306 tons). The estimated stocks of butter in London on December 1, including those in private and provincial stores and steamers not discharged, totalled 17,200 tons, as against 14,400 tons on the corresponding day last year, and 13,200 tons on December 1, 1930. Stocks in New Zealand, including those loaded into steamers which had not sailed at December 1, and New Zealand stocks afloat, comprised 32,246 tons, compared with 27,996 tons last year and 23,622 tons in 1930. Imports of Cheese. Cheese imports into Britain last month were 12,470 tons, compared with 12,779 tons in November, 1931, a decrease of 309 tons. Details are as follows:—

The estimated stocks of cheese in London, Liverpool and Bristol on December 1 were 9287 tons, as against 12,445 tons last year, and 14,500 tons in 1930. Stocks in New Zealand, including those on steamers not sailed at December 1, and stocks afloat, were 26,450 tons, compared with 22,848 tons last year and 21,625 tons in 1930. Last month New Zealand exported 10,617 tons of cheese, compared with 10,061 tons in November, 1931. All except 11 tons were sent to Great Britain.
