LIMEHILLS NOTES
(From Our Correspondent.) The fortnightly meeting of the School Jubilee Committee was held on Monday evening, Mr C. R. Shand presiding over an attendance of 30 members. Final arrangements were made for the official opening, banquet and picnic. The secretary reported that a splendid response had been received from expupils and all augured well for a magnificent gathering. The souvenir booklet compiled by Mr D. McNeil, a former headmaster of the school, is now completed and copies may be obtained from the secretary, Mrs W. M. Walker. This work has been exceptionally well executed and contains reminiscences by scholars and teachers and a history of the district and school for the 60-year period since its inception. It will prove of great interest to ex-scholars and teachers and indeed to anyone interested in the pioneering days of Southland.
