EXTENDED CURRENCY

NEW ZEALAND INSCRIBED STOCK. STATEMENT BY MR FORBES. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 29. The announcement that the New Zealand Government 5 per cent, debentures of inscribed stock having a currency to September, 1937, will be withdrawn, from sale on November 6 and that a new 5 per cent, issue haying a currency to June 15, 1940, will be open for subscription on and after November 7, 1932, is made by the Prime Minister (the Hon. G. W. Forbes). He further mentioned that the provisions of part four of the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932, in relation to the stamp duty charge on interest do not apply in respect to securities issued on or after May 10, 1932, consequently the interest on new securities will not be subject to the stamp duty charge under that Act.
