DAMAGES GRANTED

ADULTERY CASE NOT DEFENDED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 26. At the Supreme Court, Leon Albert Libeau claimed from John Thomas Bradley £5OO damages for alleged adultery with his wife, Iris Joan Libeau. The respondent filed a denial, but did not appear to defend the case. The jury awarded the full amount claimed with costs. Later Mr Justice Ostler granted Libeau a decree nisi on the ground of adultery. The petition was not defended.
