LODGE NOTES

1.0.0. F. The Star of Waikiwi Lodge held its fortnightly meeting in the Public Hall on Thursday, the 13th instant. The gavel was in the hands of N.G. Bro. H. Campbell, who presided over an attendance of fifty members and visitors. One member was initiated into the Order according to ancient lavz and custom. Three Brothers made application for their first degree. The principal business of the evening was the installation of officers, controlled by D.D.G.M., Bro. P. Fraser, who was assisted by D.D.G.W. Bro. M. B. Feil, D.D.G.T. Bro. C. H. Small, D.D.G.R.S. Bro. C. Witting, D.D.F.S. Bro. H. Barrett, D.D.G.C. Bro. C. Harris and D.D.G.M. Bro. E. M. Fraser. The following officers were installed into their respective chairs:—J.P.G. Bro. H. Campbell, N.G. Bro. W. C. A. Ereckson, V.G. Bro. W. Connors, financial secretary Bro. E. Fraser, P.G., recording secretary Bro. I. Logan, P.G., treasurer Bro. R. C. Buckingham P.G., chaplain, Bro. L. Neas, conductor, Bro. J. G. Aspray, warden, Bro. T. Pinckney, R.S.S. Bro. H. Taylor, L.S.S. Bro. R. Wallace, Inside Guardian Bro. P. Baldwin, P.G., L.S. to N.G. Bro. J. McNeilage, R.S. to V.G., Bro. J. Fraser, L.S. to V.G. Bro. Ford, Outside Guardian, Bro. G. Millar. The N.G. Bro. W. C. A. Ereckson voiced tb« appreciation of himself and the members of the presence of the District Deputy Grand Master Bro. Peter Fraser, who had so impressively conducted the ceremony of installing the various officers. The D.D.G.M. Bro. P. Fraser suitably replied to the tribute paid him, and extended fraternal greetings from the Grand Lodge of New Zealand. After the meeting the members adjourned to the social room, where a pleasant hour was spent. The following toast list was honoured:—“Grand Lodge,” proposed by P.G. Bro. I. Logan, replied to by G.L. representative, P.G. Bro. J. Robertson. “Installing Officers” proposed by P.G. Bro. R. C. Buckingham, responded to by D.D.G. Marshal Bro. E, M. Fraser. “Newly Installed Officers,” proposed by P.G. Bro. Harris, responded to by the Noble Grand, Bro. W. C. A. Ereckson. “Visitors,” proposed by P.G. Bro, P. Baldwin and responded to by N.G. of Pioneer Lodge, Bro. T. Wilson, N.G. of Aroha Lodge, Bro. S. Barrett and Bro. C. Haywood of “The White Flower Encampment.” Items were contributed by P.G. Bros. P. Fraser, P. Baldwin and T. Fraser and Brothers Ereckson, Connors and Aspray.
