In reply to your inquiry for a tasty way to use stale cheese I enclose a receipe which I find very good.
Cheddy Cheese. Take 11b cheese, Jib butter, 1 cup milk, 2 eggs well beaten, J teaspoon salt, 1 good teaspoon mustard, good shake of pepper. Grate the cheese on the vegetable grater and put all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to the boil but do not let boil; pour into jars. Non Slip Floor Polish. 4ozs. beeswax, loz soap, loz white wax or | a candle, Ipint boiling water, 1 pint petrol. Melt beeswax and candle, boil the soap in the water till dissolved. Let all coll, then stir in the petrol and beat till thick. —“C.L.” (Gore).
