RIVERSDALE NOTES

(From Our Correspondent)

At the annual meeting of the Tennis Club held on Monday evening Mr L. Gee presided. The president thanked all members for their support and complimented them on the excellent manner in which they had worked together during the year.

The election of office-bearers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: President, Mr L. Gee; secretary, Mr E. O’Brien; vice-presidents, Messrs J. C. Macpherson, R. H. Matthews, J. Kelly, J. Young, M. Stanton, J. Austin, F. Shallard, Mesdames Stevenson and O’Brien and Miss Stanton; club captain, Mr F. Shallard.

The opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 1. Subscriptions were decided upon as follows: 15/- for men and 12/6 for ladies, with a rebate of 5/- if paid before January 1. Messrs E. O’Brien and F. Shallard were appointed delegates to the Northern District Sub-Association.

It was decided to arrange the ladder as last year and all challenges are to go through the secretary. In order to defray travelling expense it was decided to levy a charge of 1/- upon all travelling players.
