MIMIHAU TENNIS CLUB
CONCERT IN AID OF FUNDS. (From Our Correspondent.) There was a good attendance at Mimihau Hall on Friday evening last, when members of the Edendale Gymnastic Club’s concert party under the leadership of Mr W. W. Chaplin, and assisted by Mr D. N. A. Macpherson, Wyndham, staged an attractive concert programme in aid of funds for the Mimihau Tennis Club. Mr John Smith presided. The following was the programme: Horse display and acrobatic tableaux, Edendale Gymnastic Club; songs, Miss Ivy Cranstoun; humorous duet, Messrs A. W. Holden and M. Turner; songs, Mr L. Cameron; recitation, Miss M. Hickey; horizontal bar display, the club; songs, Mr D. N. A. Macpherson; songs, Mr G. Keys; duet, Miss Chaplain and Mr Holden; humorous songs, Mr Turner; parallel bar display, the club. In movin'" a vote of thanks to the performers, Mr Smith said the programme had been much out of the ordinary. He wished to thank Mr Chaplin for bringing his class and its gear to Wyndham, and expressed the hope that the Tennis Club’s finances would benefit from the entertainment.
