INDECENT LANGUAGE
FIREMAN SENTENCED. UNEMPLOYED DISTURBANCES. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, July 30. Found guilty of using indecent language to a police constable during the unemployed disturbances in May last and resisting a constable in the execution of his duty, William James Baker, a fireman, aged 35, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment and ordered to pay costs £6 15/-, in default one month’s imprisonment, the terms to be cumulative, by Mr Justice Reed in the Supreme Court. For attempting to break and enter with intent to commit a crime, James Walsh, a labourer, aged 35, was sentenced to 16 months’ imprisonment.
