ARCTIC ROUTE

FLIGHT ACROSS ATLANTIC. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Vancouver, July 25. A message from Cartwright (Labrador) states that Captain von Gronau landed there to-night from Greenland en route to Montreal on a transatlantic flight via the Artic. Accompanied by two companions, Captain von Gronau, the noted German pilot, who uses the stages of the northern route, flew from the Island of Sylt, on the coast of Germany, on Friday and landed on the south-east coast of Ireland, some 250 miles from Reykjavik (Iceland). Shortage of fuel prevented him reaching the capital that day and he flew there on Saturday. On Sunday he left Reyjavik on the stage to Greenland.
