MANITOBA ELECTION

GOVERNMENT RETURNED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.10 p.m.) Winnipeg, June 16. The Government of Mr John Bracken has been returned to power at the Manitoba general election. Incomplete returns late on Thursday night give the Government 22 seats and it is leading in 11 ridings. Three Conservatives have been elected and they are leading in seven ridings. One Labour representative and one Independent have been returned. One Cabinet Minister, Mr Ewan McPherson, has been defeated in Portage la Prairie by the Conservative Leader, Mr F. G. Taylor. Mr Bracken has headed the Progressive Government since 1922. A few weeks ago he formed a coalition with the Liberals.
