RETURNED SOLDIERS

DISABILITY PENSIONS. ANOMALY REMOVED. The secretary of the Invercargill Unemployment Committee has advised the local Returned Soldiers’ Association that in future any returned soldier drawing a disability pension of 17/6 a week, or less, shall not be prejudiced so far as concerns the ration of work which he would otherwise be granted. This decision will apply to all men with pensions who are on relief work receiving 17/6 a week or less. Returned soldiers thus affected should report to the secretary of the Invercargill Returned Soldiers’ Association at once.
