RIVERTON
Mr and Mrs Albert More, accompanied by Miss Tweedie, have returned from a motor trip through the South Island. Mr and Mrs Officer, Gore, have been spending a fortnight's holiday at Hie Rocks. Mr and Mrs G. Benge have returned from a trip up north. Mr and Mrs Officer, Thornbury, have been spending a week at The Rocks. Mr and Mrs John Crawford, Beach Road, and Miss Jean Duncan (Otautau) have returned after an enjoyable trip by motor through Eglinton Valley and visiting Lake Gunn. Mrs and Miss J. Wilson, of Dunedin, are spending a fortnight’s holiday in the south. The annual dance, to farewell those going to the Ti Ti Islands, was held in the Colac Hall on Tuesday evening, when there was a large attendance, all parts of the district being represented. Mrs Davis, Misses Barrett and Goodwillie were the pianistes, Messrs Barrett, Shore and Gregg also contributed extras. Messrs Fisher and Bel-» sham were the M.C.’s Amongst those present were: Mesdames Davis, Egerton, Whittle, Cross, McKay, Te Au, Cleaver, Goodwillie (2), Coulston, Hart, Winiata, Barrett, Lee, Belsham, Cooper, Misses McFadgen (3), Barrett (2), Goodwillie (3), McKay, Wixon, Egerton, Todd, Cox, leader, Te Au, Patrick (2), Kaitai, Whitelock, Cross, Messrs Belsham (2), McKay (2), Te Au, Hart, Cox, Goodwillie, Anderson, Brooks, Bates, Woods, Cleaver (2), Latchford, Smith, Dawson, Cotton, Fisher, Flutey, Hayes, Lee, Beaton, Cappie, Gregg, Shaw, Forde, Burford, Dennis, Black, Hill, Thompson, McLean, Portnick, Davis, Johnstone and Butterfield. Mr and Mrs Conn, Dunedin, are spending the Easter holidays at the seaside. Mrs E. Simpson, Bath Road, is visiting her son, Mr John Simpson, Otautau,
