HEAVY LOSSES REPORTED. (United Press Assn. —Dy Telegraph—Copyright.) Berlin, March 16. The Reichsb'ank annual report for 1931 shows that the bank lost 1,508,000,000 marks in its efforts to regulate the stability of the Reich's mark. Its obligations to foreign countries at the end of'the year were 428,000,(100 marks compared with nearly 134,000,000 marks in 1930. The report concludes that reparations have proved impracticable and that there is no other way but to abolish this system formally with the utmost speed if the world is to be preserved from a new economic and social catastrophe.
