MAN OF MANY PARTS.
LITTLE MAN WITH BIG SMILK. A little man with a big smile, who is claimed to be the most efficient and highest paid valet in the world, recently arrived in London. Mr Harry Felpham is valet to Mr J. Murray Anderson, the American playwright and theatrical producer. "I look after 50 suits, 300 ties, 200 shirts, and other clothes," he said in an interview, “but I am also confidential secretary, chauffeur, mechanic, housekeeper, and private stockbroker.’’ Mr Felpham has folliwed many trades and professions in his time. They include :— Tailor, mechanic, soldier, yacht’s captain, painter, interior decorator, and watch and clock mender. He speaks four languages. “I am good at most things,” Mr Felpham said, “and I can do anything.’’ He is more versatile, more discreet and soothingly efficient than any Jeeves created in Mr , P. G. Wodehouse’s most ambitious dreams. Mr Felpham has been companion-chauf-feur to a Spanish millionaire at nearly £5O a week. He has been a chauffeur to Ida Rubenstein and to Gabriel D'Annunzio. He has driven all over Europe, Ireland, and part of Africa. He is the most soughtafter servant in America and Europe. “I know there are many other people who would like me as valet," Mr Felpham said, “but I am very fond of Mr. Anderson. I have been with him six years, and his interests are mine.’
