WAIHOPAI v. TE RANGI. Players to represent Waihopai against Te Rangi on Waihopai green to-day are: Duncan, Tapper, J. H. The final of the Day Cup competition was played on the Gore Club’s green last evening, Edendale defeating Hokonui by 11 points. The green, although slightly heavy, was playing very truly and there were many interesting heads. For a time, the scores remained fairly even and while Lelshman went down steadily to Chaplin in the first eight heads, Johnston had an almost equally strong lead against Hickey. During the latter part of the game, Edendale gradually improved their position and finished up in the lead in two out of the three heads. At the conclusion of the match, Mr 11. Halliday, on behalf of the Hokonui Club, congratulated the Edendale Club and referred to the friendly spirit in which the game had been played. He also thanked the Gore Club for providing such an excellent playing surface. Mr R. Marshall replied on behalf of the Edendale Club. The detailed scores were: —

CROMWELL TEAM'S VISIT. On Saturday three rinks from the Cromwell Bowling Club visited Invercargill to repay visits made by bowlers from this city. The game took place on the Waihopai green. In the evening the visitors were entertained and next morning a visit was paid to Oreti Sands where the Central Otagoites witnessed the flight of thousands upon thousands of muttonbirds. The visitors expressed themselves as having had a most enjoyable time. The detailed scores in the fixture are
