SPORTS MEETING. (From Our Correspondent.) The Mokoreta-Rcdan Sports Society held its annual sports meeting on Wednesday at Mokoreta, in a field kindly granted for the occasion by Mr John Carnie. The management of the function left nothing to be desired, all of the officials carrying out their respective duties energetically and well. Mr W. G. Leckie was a capable president, and special thanks are due Mr J. Patterson for his efficiency and courtesy as secretary. The well-varied programme of field games, and the keen nature of the competition throughout, kept the spectators well entertained; and the musical items by the Wyndham Pipe Band were much appreciated. The sum of approximately £8 was taken in gate receipts, and in addition to this, the society will be favoured with a tidy sum through the medium of membership tickets, donations, etc. Following is a record of the results of the afternoon’s sports events: — Running. Misses Isa Lang and Joyce Morgan, Inver, cargill, were the guests of Mr and Mr John Swan Stewart over last week-end. Mr and Mrs Neil McEwan, senior, and family, are holidaying at lire Rocks, Riverton. Mrs Frank Russel, Dunedin, accompanied bv her two young children, is the guest of her sister, Mrs D. N. A. Macpherson, Alma street.

Mrs E. Sherborne, Temuka, formerly of Wyndham, and her young son Douglas, were visitors to Wyndham for a few days this week as the guests of Mrs Cameron, Malta street..
