OBITUARY
MR J. J. CLASBY. RECENTLY ELECTED M.P. (United Press Asm.—By Telegraph—Copyright) (Rec. 12.45 a.m.) Sydney, January 15. The death was announced to-night of Mr J. J. Clasby, United Australia Party candidate at the recent Federal election, who won the East Sydney seat from Mr E. J. Ward, a Lang Planner, by a narrow majority after a thrilling contest which evoked interest throughout Australia. Mr Clasby, who was most popular, became seriously ill after the declaration of the pell, his last public appearance. He died of cerebral haemorrhage.
