THEATRE SENSATION
POSTPONEMENT OF REVUE. (United Press Assn.---By Telegraph—Copyright) London, December 27. There was a holiday theatre sensation, unparalleled for generations, when 3000 people, many of whom had booked their seats weeks ahead, arrived at the London Hippodrome yesterday afternoon to find a typewritten notice on the doors that the spectacular revue “Bow Bells,” on which £30,000 had been spent, had been postponed owing to a mechanical difficulty in handling the new heavy velvet scenes and numerous scenic effects.
