A feature of Christmas Week in Invercargill is Hannah’s footwear. Holiday time is a time when the majority of people look to their footwear and the ladies especially like to make sure that they are fitted with the latest in shoes for the festive season. Hannah’s, with their big chain of shops and wide buying experiences are fully aware of this and have spared no pains to get the smartest and latest designs for their customers, and at the same time they have been able to prepare a very large stock at lower prices than ever. Summer golf shoes in brown and white are also meeting with a very keen demand from Hannah’s. “Flappers,” if such a term can be applied to-day, are catered for with a particularly smart patent shoe with side bow at a guinea. Children’s slippers and moccasins are also offered in great variety. The firm is receiving new stocks of white satin shoes which can bo dyed to match the long summer frocks women are now wearing. Hannah’s will dye these shoes any shade for the small sum of 2/-. Men are not forgotten in this up-to-date footwear establishment. There are fireside
slippers for father in brown and grey velvet at 6/6, and camel-hair slippers at 4/11. A line of men’s white and chocolate tennis shoes with crepe soles at 6/11 is exceptional-
ly good value. Men’s walking shoes range from 15/9 upwards. For women and girls who will be frequenting Oreti Beach there are beach shoes in all shades at 3/9. No one in need of footwear should hesitate to patronize Hannah’s for they have a complete understanding for everything pertaining to boots and shoes. The firm's motto is efficiency, a fact which is appreciated by all the staff who radiate Christmas cheer along with their desire to give complete satisfaction to the customer.
