She is expected to arrive at the week-end. After discharging the Southland portion of her bulk oil, she leaves for northern ports via Dunedin. ■ The Union Company’s freighter Waipiata was scheduled to clear Dunedin at 3 p.m. yesterday for Bluff, where she is due this morning. The Waipiata sails on Monday for Dunedin. From Auckland, the Union Company’s passenger steamer Tofua arrived at Suva last Friday. Thence she goes to Tonga and Samoa, returning to Auckland via Suva. The O. and O. Line steamer Golden West is due at Auckland to-day from Los Angeles. She will discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. The A. and A. Line stdatner City of Kimberley, which . sailed, from New York on May 23, is due at Auckland on Tuesday next. She will discharge at Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin,; and Australia. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tongariro, from Wellington, and the Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Mahia, from Wellington, via Hook of Holland, are reported to have arrived at London last Thursday. What, is believed to be a record passage for a trading vessel between the Chatham Islands and Wellington has been made by the steamer Tees, which did the trip from Waitangi to Wellington in 44 hours. The time taken by the Tees has been beaten by one other vessel in the past, when the Rama, formerly the gun boat Torch, of 610 tons gross register, did the distance between Wellington and the Chathams in 42 hours. On that occasion the Rama had to make port quickly to get medical assistance for a sick person on board, and the passengers had to help in stoking the fires, 'lhe Rama was wrecked at the Chat hams in 1924. As she had facilities-better than those of the ordinary trader for getting up speed, the time taken by the Tees is likely to be accepted as the record for the distance for trading vessels. The chief engineer (Mr W. Morris) said that he attributed the Tee’s fast trip to the fact that she had been overhauled, also to the fact that she had good bunkers, and had favourable winds for the passage. The Tees has been trading to the Chatham Islands for eight years, and, whereas there were once a number of vessels in the service, she is now the only one maintaining the connection between the Islands and New Zealand. The Tees is of 553 tons gross register, and is commanded by Captain Dowell. She brought 14 passengers from the Chathams for Wellington, and her cargo consisted of fish and 200 crates of cheese. The Tees has been chartered by the Holm-Company to take the place of the Progress, which was wrecked at Ohiro Bay, and will run for some time under her new agents. HUNTINGDON AT BLUFF. Loading has proceeded steadily on the Federal Line steamer Huntingdon since her arrival on Thursday last from Port Chalmers. She is taking in frozen meat, cheese and other Southland products, and, weather permitting, will probably finish working today. She sails on completion for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wanganui and Wellington, and leaves the last-named [>ort on July 11 for London, Avonmouth, Cardiff, Liverpool and Glasgow. Captain 11. G. B. Field commands the Huntingdon, and associated with him are the following: Chief officer, Mr P. S. Calcult; second, Mr H. Wilkinson; third, Mr M. Walter; fourth, Mr J. Brookesmith; chief engineer, Mr A. White; second, Mr A. Percival; third, Mr F. Roberts; fourth, Mr H. Macro; fifth, Mr W. Hill; sixth, Mr F. Ward; seventh, Mr J.
