CENTRAL UNITED STATES. PASTURES BURNED BROWN. (United Press Assn. —By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Washington, June 25. A message from Williston (North Dakota) states that while reports have been received of the varying severity of a “scorching” heat wave now present in central and western United States, representatives of several hundred farmers informed the Department of Agriculture that the drought had become so serious in North Dakota and Montana that Federal aid was necessary.
