FIRE IN TIMARU
STOCK DAMAGED BY' WATER. (Per United Press Association.) Timaru, June 23. At about 10.15 to-night a fire was discovered in a workroom in the upstairs portion of premise occupied by Charles Begg and Co., Stafford street and Arcade. The flames had a strong hold when the brigade arrived, but a good pressure cf water quickly subdued the outbreak. The damage by water to the stock in the shop beneath was very heavy. The building was owned by Mr W. McKeown.
