Moulding Garments
With fashions as they are, the slight woman needs a foundation garment, but so light a one that glove silk, if fitted correctly, serves to mold the figure into the desired princess lines. A one-piece garment of glove silk with a brassiere and fitted body has a pointed yoke below the hips, which ends in flaring panties or bloomers. Frequently, these sets are made additionally attractive by dainty lace incrustations on the brassiere and bloomers. Since the colour-range includes blush-pink, peach and a luscious tea-rose shade and the trimming is composed of bands of rich ecru lace, this model is particularly dainty. Another type of undergarment is as tightly fitted, and has elastic webbing introduced only at the high waistline. This garment is equipped with garters but has no attachment of bloomers or panties. Still another glove silk, all-in-one gament has elastic inserts of light open mesh at the sides as well as the waistline and a lingerie skirt that makes the garment eligible as a complete undergarment.
