GLIDING CONTEST
BEARDMORE’S FEAT. NO OFFICIAL RECOGNITION. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright) (Rec. 7 p.m.) London, June 22. The British Gliding Association has declined to recognize Beardmore’s transchannel flight which was made in an unofficial way, despite the warning about the proof which was required by the conditions which must be observed. The honour, therefore, goes to Germany.
