SCHOOLBOYS’ GAMES. NO SENIOR MATCHES. There were no senior matches played on the Showgrounds on Saturday. For some inexplicable reason only a few players were on the Showgrounds, therefore no matches could be played. There Is no enthusiasm evident among senior players. If things do no brighten up considerably undoubtedly senior Soccer will become a thing of the past in Invercargill. Mr R. H. Parker, the president of the association, said that he was much distressed by the actions of the senior players. “They have no enthusiasm at all,” he declared, “and I am compelled to admit that I have lost all interest in their doings.” Schoolboys’ games resulted as follows:— Middle A (3) v. South (I). Goals were scored for Middle by Todd, Lee and Baker. For South Clark goaled. Mr R. H. Parker controlled the game. S.T.C. B (0) v. Boys' Brigade (0). Mr W. Cathcart was referee. IN OTHER CENTRES GAMES AT DUNEDIN. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, June 13. Chatham Cup: Northern 7 v. Maori Hill 2; Seacliff 3 v. Port Chalmers 2. CHRISTCHURCH MATCHES. Christchurch, June 13. Rangers 7 v. Marist 1; Nomads 2 v. Technichal 1; St. Albans 3 v. Kaiapoi 2; Western 1 v. Sumner 0; Thistle 3 v. Brighton 1. Just before the close of the soccer game, St. Albans v. Kaiapoi, following on an argument about a penalty awarded to St. Albans, a Kaiapoi player smacked the referee on the face. The offending player did not leave the field. WELLINGTON MATCHES. Wellington, June 13. The soccer played here to-day took place in overcast weather, the grounds being slightly heavy. The results were:— Marist 9 v. Thistle 1; Waterside 1 v. Seatoun 0; Hospital 9 v. W.Y.M.I. 1. AUCKLAND GAMES. Auckland, June 13. Representative match: Wellington 5 beat Auckland 4.
