PARTY ATTEMPTING ASCENT. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) London, April 5. An expedition of five young men has left London for India to climb the unconquered Himalayan peak, Karmet (25,477ft)' under the leadership of Mr F. S. Smyth. The others are Captain St. J. Birnie, Messrs R. L. Holdsworth, E. E. Shipton and Dr Raymond Greene. Mr Smythe was a member of the international expedition that made an unsuccessful assault of Mount Kinchinjunga last year.
