Both her companionship with a reputed diamond smuggler at Cologne and her frequent visits to Holland caused suspicion to rest on the fashionably dressed Frau Marga. Many searches failed to disclose anything till she was made to remove her glass eye, in which £lO,OOO worth of diamonds was concealed.
