OLLA PODRIDA

CONCLUDING PERFORMANCE. The worthy motive behind the production and its high entertainment value should have inspired more people to attend the Olla Podrida, the earthquake benefit concert, than actually was the case, another small audience being present in the Civic Theatre last evening on the occasion of the concluding performance. Despite its smallness in numbers the audience proved most enjoying to the full the excellently varied bill of fare presented by members of the Invercargill Amateur Operatic Society, the Invercargill Orphans’ Club and the pupils of Mr Robert Kent in a combined effort. Once again the Tap Ballet and the White Ballet proved popular features as did also the two one-act plays on the programme and the various solos and choruses.
