SOME MINOR DISTURBANCES.

Minor disturbances characterized Communist demonstrations in various cities in the United States and Canada during International Unemployment Day.

Three thousand Reds clashed with the police here, with only a few were hurt. Boston reported that several arrests were made when 250 police engaged several thousand disorderly Communists celebrants Twenty-eight arrests were made in Pittsburg, five in Dallas (Texas), four in Oklahoma City, and an unknown number of distributors of Red literature were arrested in Houston (Texas). Two police and a girl were injured in Toronto and a policeman in Sudbury (Ontario). The police prevented a riot in Hamilton, and broke up a parade in Port Arthur. Orderly demonstrations were held in Philadelphia, St. Louis, Kansas City and Denver.
