FIVE KILLED IN EXPLOSION. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright) Colombo, January 6. The Tricolour carried a cargo of explosives. Five persons now are dead. The survivors have been taken by the Porthos to Singapore. A previous report, stated: —Four persons, including the captain and the wireless operator, perished by the blowing up of the Norwegian vessel Tricolour, 40 miles south of Colombo. Eleven passengers out of twelve were rescued by the liners Naldcra and Porthos.
