WYNDHAM NEWS

(From Our Correspondent.) A meeting of the executive of the Wyndham Amateur Sports Society was held on Tuesday evening, Mr C. Dryden (president) presiding over the following: Messrs, F. Bedford (secretary), R. Harley, A. Ronald, W. Craig,. W. McLellan and R. Craig. After discussion it was unanimously resolved to hold another evening’s sports on January 9, and a road cycle race with the route the same as last time. It was also decided that two running events (240 yards and 100 yards) be held during the road race. The following events were also arranged : Cycle race for boys under 16; cycle race for members of the Wyndham Cricket Club; committeemen’s cycle race; open amateur cycle race. It was decided that all entries close with the secretary definitely on January 6. The offer of Mr C. Dryden to donate a medal valued at ]/- for the fastest time recorded in the next road race was accepted with thanks. It was resolved to run a competition on Christmas Eve and the evening of the sports in aid of the society’s funds.
