Gifts at Bedrock Prices. At the corner of Dee and Spey Streets there is a shop known as Edgar Watt’s Economic Stores, and in every way the word ‘'Economic'' in its title has been well earned. Reasonableness in price has always been the aim of the management and skilful anticipation of the needs of the public, wise buying, and a sound cash business have enabled the “Economic” to sell to the public an article of outstanding quality at a surprisingly low price. What holds true during the ordinary shopping days of the year is equally true during the festive season and Christmas shoppers can rest assured that at the “Economic” they will be spending wisely and well. This year’s attractions are such as to ensure very extensive patronage from all buyers of discrimination. The “Economic” has always specialized in catering for the requirements of the ladie.s and the children and the stocks in the mantle, millinery, fancy and children’s departments contain everything required for the holiday season. Whether it. is the
intention to spend the holidays elsewhere or at home, the range of costumes, hats, lingerie, and the incidentals necessary to complete an effective toilette must command attention and a visitor should be well repaid in value for the time spent in making a selection from the comprehensive stocks held by the “Economic.” The selection of Suitable Christmas presents for the members of the family as well as friends is a pleasure when the excellent variety of the “Economic” stocks comes to be inspected. At all times gifts of silk hosiery,' gloves, handkerchiefs, perfumes, etc., are acceptable, but at the Christmas season they are doubly appreciated by the recipient. Beautiful table covers and table cloths in art silk are a new line and they are exceedingly reasonable in price. They will be especially appreciated by the ladies and are well worth inspection by ajyone who does not want to spend a large sum on a gift that will give as much pleasure as-an expensive one.
