A SECRET OINTMENT SIXPENNY WOMAN DOCTOR. It is claimed that a sixpenny woman “doctor” in Leeds has been effecting some remarkable cures. She is Mrs Mary L. Binks, who, as a skin specialist, is treating as many as 30 and 40 patients a day at her home “surgery.” The business is a family concern, over two centuries old, and Mrs Binks is the last surviving member. “My mother and grandmother were in practice before me,” she says. “When I die the secret formulas for the ointment used in the external cure of slcin complaints will die with me. “My patients, who come from all over the West Riding, vary in age from seven years to 70., I see them at fixed hours during the day, .otherwise I couldn’t get my own shopping and cleaning done. “I only charge the poorest of my patients a sixpenny fee, and I have cured many people in my time”
