CHARGES OF THEFT

YOUNG MAN SENTENCED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, December 17. A number of thefts in various parts of the country were cleared up in the Magistrate’s Court to-day when Arthur Victor Jones, aged 22, a labourer, pleaded guilty to two charges of breaking, entering aud theft,, the total value of the goods stolen being £5l 7/5. ■ Mr Page, S.M., said accused had a long list of convictions for theft and sentenced him to twelve months’ hard labour on the charges of theft, while on the two major charges accused was committed for sentence.
