SHIPMENTS TO CANADA HELD UP. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) Ottawa, December 9. The Australian Trade Commissioner, Mr Stevens, has received a cablegram from Melbourne stating that no further shipments of Australian butter for Canada will be authorized pending the conclusion of the conference between Mr Parker Moloney, Australian Minister for Markets, and the Canadian authorities next week. REDUCED EXPORT BOUNTY. (Rec 8 p.m.) Hobart, December 10. The Australian Butter Stabilization Committee met at Launceston to give consideration to the payment of a bounty on butter for 1931. The committee decided that owing to prolific production and largely increased exports there was no alternative but to reduce the export bounty to 34d per pound on butter manufactured after December 31.
