The Tamatea arrived from Stewart Island

at 9.50 a.m. yesterday. She leaves for the island again to-morrow morning and returns the same evening. With the departure of the Kotare and Kanna last night, Bluff wharf was left bare of outside shipping. The next arrival will be the Turakina, which is due on Thursday from Dunedin. The Canterbury Shipping Company's coastal .steamer Storm arrived at Port Craig yesterday from Lyttelton direct. After loading timber the vessel will come to Bluff to-morrow morning to load general cargo and Southland products for northern ports, sailing in the afternoon for Dunedin. The Calm, Messrs 11. L. Tapley and Company advise, is due to leave Wellington on the 13th inst. for Bluff via Lyttelton. She is due on the morning of Wednesday, the 17th inst. and after discharging and loading general ■ merchandise, sails later in the day for Dunedin. The Kamona is scheduled to load coal at Westport towards the end of the week for Bluff, Oamaru and Dunedin, being title here on Monday next to discharge the local portion of her cargo. The local agents have received advice that the Union Company’s Indian trader Narbada left Calcutta on the 2nd. inst. for Penang, Singapore and Samarang, thence Auckland and her other New Zealand ports. She is due at Bluff towards the end of January to unload Eastern merchandise. The Waikouaiti is scheduled to leave Sydney towards the end of the week for Bluff, Dunedin and Lyttelton, being due here about the 17th. inst. to discharge Australian cargo. Messrs J. G. Ward and Company have received advice that the Swedish vessel Tisnaren will now arrive at Bluff a little earlier than expected. She is now due from Wellington on the 24th. inst. and it is hoped to despatch her the same day for Sydney direct. According to advice received by the same shipping agents the Swedish steamer Sydic sailed from Adelaide on Friday for Bluff direct, the captain wirelessing that the. vessel expects to berth on Friday. The Sj’dic is to sail the following day for Dunedin. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
