SMOKING IN THEATRES
PROTEST AGAINST BAN. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rcc. 5.5 p.m.) London, November 30. London managers are indignantly opposing the ban on smoking in theatres. They declare that they are already inundated with letters from patrons urging a vigorous protest. The theatre is already suffering through the opposition of the talking cinemas, where smoking is permitted. The ban will do incalculable harm “because everybody smokes nowadays.”
