VIOLENT EARTHQUAKE
RUSSIAN VILLAGES DESTROYED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) Moscow, September 24. A violent earthquake near Stalinbad in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Tajkistan wiped out seven villages, 175 persons being killed and 300 injured. Twelve hundred families are homeless.
