STANDARDIZED CHEESE

EXPORT OF NEW ZEALAND PRODUCT. MR WAITE’S QUESTION. (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, September 24. In regard to the export of standardized cheese, Mr F. Waite (R., Clutha) to-day gave notice to ask the .following question: Whether the attention of the Minister of Agriculture has been drawn to the Bill recently introduced into the House of Commons entitled “The Sale of Cheese Bill” which seeks to make provision for the marking of all imported skimmed milk cheese, the'brand to be in letters not less than three-quarters of an inch square. “In the Bill,” said Mr Waite, “the expression ‘skimmed milk’ cheese means any cheese which is not either whole milk cheese or cream cheese and this would appear to include our standardized cheese.”
