RUSSIAN GRAIN TRADE
OBJECT OF INCREASED EXPORTS. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.0 p.m.) London, September 24. Commenting on the Baltic Exchange reports that numerous ships have been chartered for the Russian grain trade, The Times attributes the Soviet’s anxiety to swell its exports to the enormous cost of carrying out the five-year plan of the industrialization of Russia. The only way of finding the money, it says, is by exporting the very' things for which the Russians are striving.
