TISBURY DAIRY FACTORY.
To The Editor. Sir, —Will you allow me to point out to your correspondent “A Female Shareholder” that it would possibly have been more effective in her own interests had she objected to the chairman’s small increase in honorarium at the meeting, where the motion was carried by an overwhelming majority, than to squeal after everything is definitely settled. From what I can gather, if some chairmen of factories are worth £2O per annum, then to straighten out and carry on the affairs of the Tisbury dairy factory, in particular, the present chairman is easily worth the paltry difference of £5. Further sir, .“Female Shareholder,” quite overlooks the recognized fact, that in times of stagnation of trade depression the duties of chairmen and secretaries are much more arduous than when everything is flourishing. I am, etc., . ANOTHER FEMALE SHAREHOLDER.
