SABOTAGE IN INDIA
RAILWAY TAMPERED WITH. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright) (Rec. 9.40 p.m.) Delhi, September 16. An attempt to derail an express train from Delhi to Calcutta near Karchara failed. A goods train which preceded it was derailed, and the engine and 12 wagons were telescoped. Tie crew escaped injury. A large section of the permanent way was tampered with, the rails being placed upside down and the fishplate bolts removed.
