Association arrangements be made for the inclusion in the schedule of special classes for calves confined to members in the calf rearing competition controlled by the Agriculture Clubs Association. The writer’s committee felt convinced that such classes would be strongly supported and would do much to stimulate interest in show activities by the youthful members, and furthermore it was hoped the show in itself’ would benefit by the exhibits. The classes that could be included were as follows: (1) Large breeds: Fresians and Shorthorns. (2) Small breeds: Jerseys and Ayrshires. The instructor suggested that two such classes be arranged at the forthcoming Summer Show, and in addition to prizes championships be given in each class.
