WEDNESDAY COMPETITION, In a very ragged game played at Biggar street yesterday afternoon, Blues defeated Pirates by 18 points to 6. Pirates commenced with only half a side and’ were later reinforced by several juniors. Blues experienced little difficulty in .winning. Mr J. Aitken refereed.

AN INTERESTING GAME.

A match of considerable interest to the United Friendly Societies of Invercargill was played on the Biggar street grounds and the King’s, Birthday between a combined team of Oddfellows and Forresters against the Druids Juvenile Lodges. The result of the match was Druids 15, Oddfellows and Forresters 6. Tries were scored by the following Druids: W. Frampton (2), R. Sutton (2), J. Dawson (1), and for Oddfellows and Forresters, R. Barr (1) and T. O’Connell (1).

Mr George Frampton controlled the match.
