PROPOSED CLOSER UNION.
(British Official Wireless.) Rugby, May 21,
The Under-Secretary for the Colonies, Dr Shiels, stated in the House of Commons that it was proposed to present to Parliament on June 20 the conclusions of the Government regarding a closer union in East Africa. The Secretary for the Colonies would move in the House of Lords for the appointment of a joint committee of both Houses to consider the Government’s proposals. ________
