I THOMAS HARDY’S CAT ' MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE. “Cobby,” a beautiful Persian cat which was presented to Thomas Hardy on his last birthday, mysteriously disappeared lately. It is suggested that a too-enthusiastic admirer of the great novelist may have taken the cat as a “souvenir.” Once seen, “Cobby” could not easily be forgotten.
